Pork chops in onion sauce

The whole family is sure to LOVE this delicious dish! Serve with rice or potatoes.

  • 4 pork chops
  • 4 small onions thinly sliced
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 cup vegetable or chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream 30%
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • salt, pepper to taste


  1. Season pork chops with salt and pepper, coat with flour.

  2. Heat oil in a heavy saucepan. Fry pork chops in oil, 3 minutes on each side.

  3. Add onions, cook for another 5 minutes, turning once.

  4. Pour the broth, reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes or until the pork is cooked through.

  5. Finally, add sour cream and soy sauce. 

  6. Season to taste and simmer for 5 minutes.
